Rivertown Solar installed seven arrays for a total system size of 132.8 kW DC for the Presbyterian Church of Mount Kisco.
57 percent of the cost of this solar installation was paid for by a combination of NYSERDA incentives and a direct cash payment from the federal government, which became available to non-profits and non-taxable entities following the passage of the IRA act. Details here.
This system eliminates the church's $25,000 annual electricity bill and has a return on investment/payback period of 5.7 years, and pushes NYS closer to achieve its ambitious climate goals.
